How do the digital cams hold up to the cold? Our hunting crew has had 3 35mm go bad after the temps drop down to 0 deg.F. They are a stealth cam, moultrie, and Trailtimer. On some the camera wont take picks even when they are out of the cam(with new batts.) and on others the internal electronics are messed up.The all worked good untill they got cold. How do the digitals handle the cold? I dont want to spend $ on digital if the electronics cant take the cold.Thank you.

My 1.3mp stealth still takes pics but the flash won't cycle if it's below freezing. Last time I checked it before I brought it in for the year I had about 30 black pics from night shots with no flash [:'(]

It's been my experience that the "trigger" has a tendacy to slow down a second or two in very cold weather with the Digis, other than that, operation is fine with the units I have experience with. The Leaf Rivers are my favs, excellent cams!

The best I can tell my Cuddeback is not affected by the cold any at all, In my old 35mm it really went thru the batteries when it dropped to about 20 or lower, but the Cuddeback seems to take about as many pictures in the cold as it does in nice weather, I have about 4000 pictures on 3 sets of batteries since the first part of Aug with my Cuddeback. The only thing is the frost that gets on the viewing windows at times gives you a blurry picture.
