What do all of you think the best ATV is? Also which offers the most bang for the buck? Money is definately a factor in deciding which one I would like to buy. I have always like Hondas and have heard from many that the Fourtrax 300 is the best ATV Honda has ever made. What are your opinions on this? Thanks

hey Junction,
The fourtrax 300 4x4 is what I use I love it to death! Its very dependable. My dad recently wrecked on it comming off a hill well to make a long story short he had to go to the hospitital and about a month later he is home and well anyway... I went down to the bike the day after the accident and it started up without a hitch! When dad wrecked the bike cartwheeled front end over first down the hill and landed on its top I just flipped it over and started it up, course it did'nt get to far with 3 flat tires and a craked axle
My dad uses it for ranching and hunting he has taken down several cows and bulls with it too(my dad is nuts by the way) we also use it to haul deer in the back of the pickup, its easier to do it that way then have dad amd me try to get 'em in the pickup

We bought in in 98 and I think it was about $4,000 or $5,000.

Junction hunter, all of the manufactures make good products© I have had a Suzuki 4x4 and now have a Polaris 500 4x4 Rem© edition© I love them both© However, the Polaris is surely a cut above the Suzuki in ride and price©

When I bought mine last year, it came down to the Honda Rubicon and the Polaris 500© After reading all of the reviews and doing some research on www©atvtime©com I went with the Polaris and have not regretted it in no way© www©atvtime©com is a great place to get all the latest info and reviews on atv's© Check it out and good luck!

I own a 92 Honda fourtrax 300 and just bought a 2002 Honda 450 Foreman S. I love them both. The 300 has seen many a hard mile, over 4,000 and has never given me a bit of trouble. I was going to sell it when I got the new 450 but I just could'nt bring myself to do it. The 450 was $6,496 out the door after tax and licence and $150 worth of free junk. Best money I ever spent, Well except maybe the $3,800 I paid for the 300 back in 92.

Honda Rubicon without a doubt! Everything else pales in comparison.

A good used fourtrax 300 is hard to beat. I got two, one's for my wife. We have a 96 and a 98 and they have been indestructible. My wife jumped a railroad track with hers, went 20 feet through the air and landed upright with no problems except that I wanted to kill her for trying it, scared the hell out of me. I put a lift kit on the 96 model and I like the clearance but it hurt the cornering characteristics of the 300. Another thing about the honda's, especially the 300, parts are a hell of alot cheaper than yamaha's or any other brand. You can buy a whole rebuild kit for a 300 motor for about $100. Except for gas, oil, and filters, I've never spent a penny on mine.
