I assume this topic has been brought up before but I wanted to relate my experience with Filson. I have a pair of their chaps which I am very pleased with. I recently ordered a coat which had to be custom made. Lisa Freeman in their tailoring department worked back and forth with me extensively to make sure we got it right. I now have a extremely well make, solid feeling coat that looks very durable. Despite it's weight I can lift my arms and shotgun to shoot with no restriction at all. For a guy my size that is quite an accomplishment. This makes this coat a valuable addition for foul weather hunting and shooting. I ended up with style 635 in original tin cloth.
