i am shooting a 54 cal t/c thunderhawk...80 grains of triple 7, musket primer and a 405 grain copper plated power belt. very satisfied with the accuracy, ease of loading and cleanliness. last night i shot a average doe from 25 yards away and perfectly broadside. she ran about 30 yards(getting lower and lower to the ground with each step) stopped, stood up on her hind legs and staggered backwards 6 steps, falling flat on her back............the entrance hole on the inside was pretty impressive due to the bullet hitting a rib, the entrance was nothing special...................conclusion?...........th e bullet did what is was supposed to, but any bullet would have considering a heart shot.
