columbia monarch pass jacket
#1
Hey yall, i just bought this coat, and really like it. But, i didnt know if anyone else used it and how it held up in late season. My columbia duck parka will make an eskimo sweat, but this one has no "insulation" built in, but i didnt know how the natural wool held up in cold weather. Just your input please. Thanks.

Hey hunter9022, I have used this jacket for the last 2 years. It's warm to a point if dressed in layers. The downside to it is weight and wind. It gets heavy with rain/snow, and the wind goes right through it. The benifits are those of wool, dead quiet in the woods, and it keeps the wet off you!

Thanks alot man. I normally dress in layers anyways, and i do like the quietness, you say the wind goes right through but does it still keep you pretty warm? I know that my other jacket would make me sweat, but it was uncomfortable. So, im hopin this will be better, at least before it gets to cold.
