im gonna get either a remington adl in 270 with a bushnell banner scope or a savage 110 wood package 270 with a simmons scope which do you think thell both end up costing about the same.

Both are capable deer rifles, but I would lean towards the Remington. I believe it's a higher-quality rifle, it handles well, and looks pretty nice. I have a 700 ADL in .30-06 that is my favorite rifle.

I have a totally different choice, but since the choice is Remington, or Savage, I'd go with the Savage! The Savage is a very good gun, while IMO, Remington's quality has gone down hill recently!

The Savage would be my choice of the two mentioned. The Remington 700's are excellent rifles. From what's been being said about Remington's CS & QC I would be leary buying a new Remington. A older used one might be a different story. The Savage is not the most beautiful rifle but they are very accurate.Looks don't make it shoot any better. If I were looking for a new Rifle I would check into the Ruger M-77's.That would be my first choice. The Winchester Model 70's are nice rifles. If money isn't an issue check out a Browning A-Bolt.With these package deals the scopes aren't the best quality.Buy the rifle seperately ,then buy a quality set of rings, bases and a scope for it.

I own a few remingtons and one savage, I wouldn't rule out either one. You also came back with the Vanguard, they are made by Howa, a Howa 1500 would also be a good choice on the less expensive side.

I have owned both. I "gave" the remington away and I would not take anything for the savage. Both are "walmart" guns but the savage has alot less plastic than the remington. I have sent a bunch of deer to the big green field in the sky with that old savage!
