Default Homeless Shelters

I am wondering how many of you donate some of your meat to homeless shelters? I know that some states with raging deer populations give out 2 or more tags. My freezer will only take so much meat.

Here in WV I try to donate at least one deer per year to the Hunter's Helping the Hungry program.
Its a great program and really helps alot of needy people.
All you have to do is drop your deer off at a participating meat processor, they skin it, cut it up and package it for distribution to the needy.

If anyone needs more info just ask and I will help you any way I can.

If you are in the Toronto area contact, I believe it's called the Daily Food Bank or the Daily Bread Bank...not sure what it's proper name is & i'm sure they can advise you or you could contact one of the homeless shelters like the Scott Mission & failing that, you can give it to me as all my venison is gone already!!!!!!!!! Hope this helps......Brampton Mike [8D]

i have donated once before, made me feel good and reinforced everything that is good with hunting.

if anyone is looking for this type of program in their area check with your local meat processor they will know of any program in your area.
