Summit Viper XLS ~ $219.00 You can probably find it for less. I got mine a month ago on eBay for $187.00 brand new.

nitro
I bought a Hunters View Model HVATC-4020 Pro-Staff Elite Series Comfort Zone 12-Point stand. I am happy with it. There are probably better ones on the market but it is light and seems safe. It comes with the fall restarint harness.
I paid $130 at Dicks and I think the same stand in steel rather than aluminum is $110.

I've got a Bigshot that is one of the safest climbers around. Perfect for archery or gun. It's a little heavier than other brands but in my opinion the comfort and versatility more than make up for the few extra pounds. I've even had some buddies switch over after giving mine a try. They retail for $314 but you should be able to find one for around $275 at a local shop. Here's a link to there website.

I've hunted several brands and Summit is the best by far. They are extremely light and the cable system they have for locking on a tree is great. Also, I weigh about 250# and the strength of the stand is more than ample. I have the "Extreme XL" and have used it for several years. The seat in mine is an air bladder type which is extremely comfortable. Last year it dry rotted and started leaking. I called Summit and the next day I had a new seat on my door step - no questions asked. The new stands have a foam seat so I guess more people had the same problem. Based on that service I will be buying a new one next year.

Viper XLS, hands down and they are very comfortable, with a cable hook-up , no fumbling for pins and trying to find a hole to stick them in in the dark.
