Leather vs. Synthetic Hunting Bags – What’s Everyone Using These Days?
#1
Hey everyone,
I’ve been seeing a lot of new synthetic packs and camo-patterned backpacks hitting the market lately, but I’m still running an old-school leather hunting bag I’ve used for a couple of seasons now.
Honestly, I’m surprised how well it’s held up — it’s quiet, doesn’t snag on brush, and the leather just seems to get tougher every year. I wax it once a season and haven’t had any trouble with water or wear.
I know many guys swear by modern materials like Cordura or ripstop nylon, though, so I’m curious…
👉 What’s everyone here using for their main hunting pack?
Do you prefer leather, canvas, or synthetic — and why?
Would love to hear what’s been working best for you all out in the field.
