Ruger Redhawk 44 Magnum ?
This fall I am heading to MT for an elk hunt and plan to bring my ruger along due to the local bear population.
Does anyone have a good chest holster system they could recommend ?
Thanks in advance.

I have a few of these types of holsters,
from some old discontinued ones from the late 80's up
I like this one and would consider this a good one for you
Galco's Kodiak Hunter Chest Holster
most of the one's I have are for Semi auto's over large framed revolvers
carried mostly a Glock 10 mm for a lot of Alaska trips in them,
have one of these
and kind of like iit a bunch due to it stays put better, IMO< so, I find it more comfortable when hiking on odd terrain and bending over often and such!

I have a Diamond D Leather Guides Choice for my Ruger Redhawk w 5.5" barrel. Have worn it fishing, kayaking, going up a tree with a climber and my new saddle. No problems with loading my muzzleloader or cocking my crossbow. Don't have an issue shooting any of my rifles or shotguns while wearing it. I don't shoot a bow, so I can't tell you how it works with that. But it was well worth the $175.00 I spent on it. I was so impressed with it I bought one for my Springfield V16 Longslide and am buying one for my Redhawk w 4.2" barrel.
