I HAVE A API CLIMBER AND I LOVE IT!!!! FEW WEEKS AGO A BEAR TORE UP THE FOAM PADDING AND CAMO MATERIAL FOR THE FOOTREST AND THE BAR THAT YOU SIT ON WHEN YOU CLIMB. I' VE BEEN CALLING API FOR WEEKS NOW TO ORDER THE FOAM & MATERIAL, ALL I GET IS A RECORDING ASKING FOR YOUR NAME AND NUMBER, AND THEY WILL RETURN MY CALL, WELL THATS A JOKE, THEY NEVER CALLED BACKED. TODAY I GOT A WOMEN ON THE PHONE, SHE SAID NO CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE ARE IN THE OFFICE, AND SHE CAN' T TAKE ORDERS HERSELF, WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS IS THIS? THEY LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER WHEN I NEED A NEW STAND, I' LL GO WITH SUMMIT NEXT TIME

Actually, API is no longer the company that it once was. Outland Sports, which owned API treestands, went bankrupt sometime in the last year. They sold the rights to the treestands to Cabelas and Bass Pro who are now having the stands made outside of the country.

RE: API TREESTAND COMPANY
Wasnt lawsuits. It was GREEDY mgmt. Sound familiar or succesful companies in the 90s??? The ownership and upper mgmt just flatout RAPED the company and drained off the cash that an otherwise successful company had. Its quite sad but at the same time the end result is those guys got what they deserved... JOBLESS!!! Thats why the most successful stand company basically went out of business overnight.
Too bad the name and true company couldnt' ve been salvaged,

Actually, from what I was told it was a combination of both factors. The other side was that somebody filed, and won, a rather large lawsuit that really crippled the company.
