Hunting Rifle or Bow? I personally pick the bow as I am more challenged to do it. But I would love to try the rifle.

Both have their place and seasons. Bowhunting makes you a better rifle hunter.

I archery hunt allot more than I gun hunt... because the season is so much longer... However, if I had a preference, I love to gun hunt. I archery hunt because it gives me more opportunity, and more time in the woods. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, but I really feel best with a rifle in my hands.

I use both to get in the woods more. I guess I prefer the rifle more as I grew up in a county that didn't allow rifle hunting for big game. So I guess I'm making up for all the missed time lol. I do find it more of a challenge deciding which rifle to use. I want to get them all in on the action.

Those of us that are right handed and their left eye is the master eye don't do well with conventional bows. I have never bow hunted but do love to rifle hunt. I suppose I could get a crossbow and hunt the bow season(legal here) but I have not. Rifle season is a sort of family reunion on the old family farm so the tools are less important then the fellowship.

A bow is unethical. Too many wounded animals.

Just like hunting with a rifle past 300 yards, just unethical and should be against the law.
