Soft Shell Waterproof and Windproof camo
In search of durable soft shell water- and windproof camp, not more than medium weight, without any elastic in the waste.
Cabelas Instinct is the type I'm looking for, but it needs to be water- and windproof without any pile of insulated liner and good from 30 - 60 blustery degrees.
Gamehide use to have what was called Horse Hide that processed all those features, and it was my go to camo outerwear, but has worn out and no longer offer in production.
I hunt in the rain and need quiet durable HD soft shell water- and windproof material to keep up.
Any suggestions?
I have found that all the new high-tech modern brands want you to layer, which adds cost and most often noise.

this is MY suggestion
buy some good neoprene chest waders and a jacket
and wear your regular camo pants over them
warn and DRY and won't get damaged
spent a small fortune on hunting gear over the yrs
dont' care what anyone says, Gore tex gets you wet after a long time in the rain
GOOD rain gear is NOT quiet or felxible
I like you liked that Horse Hide and Saddle cloth stuff(same like deal) was quiet and pretty water proof
called Sport Chief
http://www.sportchief.com/
I think what happened was someone had a patent on the stuff and then others made with without permission, and then it all kinda got pulled!
but was great stuff as far as I was concerned
a company up in Canada used to make real nice stuff too
they changed the name of there material to make things happier and its NOT 100% the same, but close
its just hard to find places that sell it in USA , Cabela's used to carry some of it
but it was my Fav hunting gear, soft quiet and warm,
there archery jacket had a odd zipper design, came across at an angle from a off shoulder, and gave you a hand muff in the middle
which I loved too, then had a pocket above it, making small things like a range finder handy and fast
have a look at them
but I went with wearing neoprene waders under things for really WET hunting, or working outside
can wear again under regular gear
so, that helps save a few bucks??
