DIY: Shooting track
Hi
I have build an Electric shooting track, I tought it may be interesting for you guys, its a fun way to practise, i shoot in a distance of 50 meters with 22long rifle. works great. Have diferent targets to mount on the platform
sorry for bad language im from sweden
some Pictures:
a short clip so you can se it up and running
the speed can be changed

I have been practicing shooting "off-hand" / "free hand" with my rifles - It's been a very humbling experience !!!
Once I recovery from feeling that I suck - I'll start practice shooting at moving targets.
........Although I do shoot clays pretty good with my shotguns, and always start in a field position.
Never saw a hunter walking around with their gun mounted yell'in "pull" !!!
Cool gadget - although I don't recommend you use that in your backyard - LOL !

Good device for moving target practice. Question, arent you worried about a hurried shot hiting and damaging the track?
About 20 years ago I built a running man target using two 8 inch posts with a 1 inch cable strung tight between them and a target carrier for golding sillohet targets on a piece of homosote, riding on pulley wheels on the cable. It was hooked up to a reversible electric motor and run by a Honda portable generator. The only thing that could be damaged was the carrier and it was protected by a steel plate. Of course we were only using handguns, .38 sp and .357 mag. Your device is inovative.

the most of the parts i used is made in steel, they are pretty stable,
i hope they hold together for a bad shot
this is the platform that holds the target,
if it breaks its just time for a beer and an evening int the garage

Almost sounds to me like you would like to break it - LOL
Seems to me it is pretty stable, and can take a couple errant shots (particularly if you are shooting rimfire) !!!
