has any one ever used any of the free gps map downloads? if so which ones? i have a garmin etrex 20. will be using it elk hunting in colorado this fall.

Yep--- http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/ Just use your Mapsource software that you should already have loaded on your computer when you bought your Garmin with that link and then load onto your GPS with your USB cable. I have a Legend HCx and it's very easy to use.

x2 on gpsfiledepot. There are also several other free gps download sites, I found a great topo map of my local public hunting area, added all of the trails and landmarks by editing the file. Took a little work, but ended up with a very detailed map.
