Big Game xl Tree Stand
I recently orderd a Big Game CR1100 25" X 34" Boss Tree Stand XL
( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BSWE6Y )
The ad on Amazon rated it for 400 pounds. When it arrived, it was labeled a CR1100 - S, all other designations were the same, as were all dimensions and such. However, it is only rated for 300 pounds. Does anyone know, is this the same stand? Did they just change the weight rating for liability reasons or maybe because whatever trade group or agency that oversees such things made them change it? I bought it because I figured with the higher rating it was more durable, so now I'm wondering if I made a good call (I could have got a 300 pound stand a little cheaper).

It's no secret that Amazon's descriptions can get a little off. If you look at enough products from them, (especially tools) you'll see some weird descriptions.
I use a lot of Big Game stands and I've never seen an XL rated for 400 pounds. I also can't find one on their website, so I'm guessing it's a type on Amazon's part.
The XL is an excellent stand, you'll be happy with it.

Thanks for the input. I don't disagree with what you say about Amazon, but I've found the same info elsewhere

I'm definitely going to keep the stand, it just got me scratching my head a bit.
