Question hunting boots

looking a a few different boots.

rubber boots are my last resort they give me foot rot and there to hot in florida i think.

my first option is altama mil spec jungle boots with the original panama sole pattern. ya there not waterproof but they drain and dry very very fast. and there realy cool in hot weather a nice plus

here http://www.altama.com/products/4155-...-mil-spec-boot

my other option i saw was these, there rocky and danner brand snake boots aint bad either since walking in and over palmedow bushes isnt the best idea if your afraid of snakes. they both say there waterproof does anyone have any info on that are they realy proof or just resistant

here http://www.gandermountain.com/modper...5&merchID=4006
and here http://www.gandermountain.com/modper...5&merchID=4006

any opinions will be nice.

I hunt in Florida and love my rubber boots..I get the BURLY La Crosse

If you get them make sure it's the BURLY and NOT the La Grange...feet are comfortable all day..I got 2 pair..and old pair I got in 2005 ..still like new and a new pair ALPHA BURLEY CAMOFLAUGE for turkey

Price..70.-100. depends on store

hmmm never really looked to much into the higher class rubber boots i have worn tractor supply or walmart white or green boots and not only did my feet hurt (unless i had a kushy pad insert) but my feet where soaked in swet and they were so hot

i just figured the expensive ones where the same but with camo and boot tread.

i was like you, didnt like rubber boots much (too hard in and out of), but i really like my mucks, go try on a pair before you right them off completely. That said, i also have a pair of the rocky snake boots and i like them too....tuck your pants in and treat em with deet and you got snake and tick protection, very comfortable too.
