My personal favorite especially for tree stand hunting is the Vertigo line by Scent-Lok. You really do just disappear into the trees with this stuff. Check it out at http://camojacket.org. Awesome stuff!
|
Another vote for Predator (fall grey)as some one else said, it does not make you look like a big blob.
|
I am a realtree fan. I think for the area I hunt in, it most closely resemble where I am located. Seclusion 3D is too green and Mossy Oak...Just not a huge fan.

Anyone ever take a survey
of what the whitetail deer, the bear, and the elk like?
Approved camo seems to be, whatever, you can wear to pick up your kid from school, and not get abused. |
I like the Vertigo camo, but will never, ever buy into the Scent Lok carbon suit scam.
|
I have 3 that are my favs and that I use at my different hunting spots
Mossy Oak Infinity Plantation Pine Camo Realtree Hardwoods AP All camo depends on where Im hunting at. |
I have had great success with cabelas outfitter camo.
|
I use Kings Desert Shadow
Love It! Best camo for sagebrush all the way. |
I have a hard time spending money on camo for 3 weekends a year.
I'm looking for something light weight to go over my winter jacket, & ski pants. havn't found anything yet. |
I just found another Brand of Camo. I think its becoming my new fav. Its called True Timber. Ive got the True Timber "Pine". It blends in really good and is pretty cheap.
|
I'd have to add that feeling cool in the woods is not always a good thing. Mossy oak is a really good looking camo, i'll give you that, but at a distance you just look like a black blob.
ASAT is awesome camo that keeps you broken up no matter how far you are away from the hunter...it uses a more general pattern to preak everything up so even a small amout of motion isnt very noticable! check out their test photos online! http://www.asatcamo.com/2_2_testphotos.htm#location1 and bugsnbullets.com has their product cheaper than i can find it anywhere! http://www.bugsnbullets.com/ASAT_Cam...og_mid_44.html |

I have seen all the dozens of camo companies out there. Some look great, some not so great or way too dark (Mossy Oak). Others look bizarre up close, but make you vanish at a distance (i.e. ASAT camo), and yet others just seem to work no matter what --- Realtree camo. All my camo is Realtree. Their Realtree Hardwoods AP camo is excellent. Two season's ago, I nailed a nice buck at 25 yards with my bow from a short treestand. He had no idea I was there. I blended in that good with the surroundings. |
Preditor cammo is good for breaking you up with its big cammo patern but its cotton so its not the best at keeping you dry
|
ASAT used to be all cotton which was ridiculous but they are selling their stuff on bugsnbullets.com that is now synthetic! it is awesome!

This is great thank you for the heads up I love the patern but hate the cotton. So Im definatly geting new cloths. |
Nat gear, in the pine tree style.

Mathews Lost Camo...

I really like the recently introduced Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity but have yet to buy any clothing in that pattern (limited funds plus I have too damn many hunting clothes anyway).
My current camo patterns are Mossy Oak New Break-Up and Mossy Oak Treestand. Time of the year (early or late season) dictates what pattern I use. |
I have held off on buying any new camo until I get to my weight loss goal.
My favorite pattern for Spring Turkey season and early Deer bowseason is Mossy Oak Obsession. This blends perfectly for those times of the year on the ground. |
Burlap Feed Sacks!
|
I use Real Tree AP.
Keep in mind you're not trying to fool the human eye. Deer see everything in a pale yellow. You could wear all blaze orange, and be fine. |
I like using my Natural Gear in the older Camo Color,I don't look like a Blob out in the woods and it works great in all conditions. One thing to think about when using any brand of Camo....always try to keep them scent-free,wash them in scent-free detergent and either air/hang dry or use the Earth scent dryer sheets and as someone mentioned any clothes with the UV brighteners will stand out and the Deer will see them,I have been using the Dead Down Wind laundry detergent that has the UV inhibitor.
