i use wool military surplus gloves....and hand warmers if needed in pockets

I am also a big fan of the hand warmer pouches that you wear around your waste. I usually just use either a cheap pair of wool gloves with the textured palm and fingers or the cheap polar fleece type of gloves. If it's really cold, I'll place a chemical hand warmer in the pouch. For archery, I have cut a slit in the palm area that my release fits through. Started doing that this year and haven't looked back. Now if I could only keep my feet as warm as my hands.

I like any of them that have a zippered pocket on the front to hold my cell and some extra shells for my Ultra Slug. I've had a few and they all seam to work pretty well.

I don't even use a heat pack or wear gloves underneath. I'll tie it around my waist, that way if I stand up or take my hands out to take a shot, it doesn't get tangled in my bow or rilfe sling.

You can usually find these at Gander Mtn. for about $20. Well worth it IMHO.

i had the same problem in the past. Now i take the toe warmers with adhesive and put one on the top of my toes and the bottom of my toes. So...i have one pair of normal socks on, then the warmers, then another pair of heavy socks on. Your feet will not get cold.....Give it a try!

WA temp only goes down to mid 20's. I used to get cold, but for the last two seasons I used UA liner glove. It's the one with the fleece thumb on the outside. That glove combine with hand warmers in the pocket kept me warm. It's not bulky. It looks thin but it's warm.

I was in Alaska a few months ago and was looking for extremely cold weather gloves for our 4 wheelers. I found one pair rated for something like -40 below. They were 63.00 if I recall. No I didn't buy them.I went to a Sportsman's Warehouses in Fairbanks and one in Anchorage,I asked a couple of the guys there. They recommended a rubber(Neoprene)fishing glove made for cold weather fishing.We bought a couple pairs of them but to be honest we haven't needed them yet. I've tried a pair of the supposedly cold weather gloves Cabela's sells. They aren't worth a darn.

These fishing gloves were around 20.00. They are thin but made of a water proof rubber that's water tight until you put holes in them LOL.Like I said two guys that worked there recommended them. One was a avid fisherman and he swore by them.

Everything in Alaska is very expensive and I mean very expensive. I don't know who would carry these -40 below gloves in the lower 48. I'm sure they would gladly ship them to you.I might add they had several different cold weather gloves in the store. I took a few minutes to look in their catalog on line. The site is updated to 09 but the catalog tab says 2004-05 catalog.I would suggest calling or emailing them.

Gander mountain has all gloves hats and winter accessories buy one get one free. I bought some deerskin brand gloves for skiing then a pair of deerskin gloves for driving. They totaled 30 bucks.

Everythings included. If you see a pair of 80 dollar gloves get two pairs sell one to a friend and make your money back.
