Default Primos blood light

My buddy and I used his Primos blood light last night to trail a deer.

The green light turned blood black and the red light turned blood a brighter shade of red. The combination of both lights seemed to work the best. However, the blood was easier to see with the bright white light from my Dewalt rechargeable light.

I've got a cheaper version of the Primos Blood hunter that I've used twice. The one I have just makes everything wet really stand out. The first time I used it, I found snails, intestines, clear blood, everything in the world!!! But the second time, I'm like you, I could see better with just a regular light!!

Well, I just got one on sale at Cabela's. From what I understand it works better with the both lights on and in a sweeping motion and a distance of about 7 - 10 ft. At least that is what the instructions said.

I used one this year after we had already found the animal. This way I knew the path of the animal so we followed where we knew the animal had gone to see the difference between what we have been using and the new *blood light*. We always track with a bright white light and have for years. I dont know if it was just different or just bad, but I found the blood easier with the bright white light far better than the *blood light*. I can also tell you that LED lights are terrible to track with. For me its the light itself. The LED puts off a light which does not show color difference like a bright white light does.
For me, the brightest pure white light I can use is the best source to find tracks and blood during night tracking
