GREAT boots!
I picked up some Danner Blades this past summer with 400 gr. Thinsulate. I have WIDE feet. In the store the Blades felt pretty good. I also have shattered all of the bones in both my feet from a 32 yr. long competitive martial arts career.
I finally got a chance to wear the Blades on a dog walk/grouse hunt yesterday morning. These are some of the comfiest boots out of the box I have ever had on my feet. And LIGHT! WOW! Lighter than my day hikers with all the support of a much heavier boot. They were a bit warm for the 30F. temp for me. I wore a thin wool ski sock.
I hiked about 5mi. and about 800 vertical feet in them. They get a major !

I've finally put some real mileage on wearing the Blades. If comfort is king these boots are royalty! I've put in some 20mi. days, over 4,000 vertical feet a few times, walked in snow, mud, through creeks and temps down to 18F. My feet have been warm, dry and never barked at me once. Not even when I started wearing them with a broken big toe.
These are the single most comfortable boots I have ever wore by a long shot. I am a 100% Danner convert now!
