API alumi-tech ups and downs?
Hey guys,
I'm thinking of buying one of these as my first climber, have read many good reviews on them. Has anyone had any experience with them and if so, was it good or bad? Any info would be greatly appreciated before I buy my first climber.
Thanks,
Mike

RE: API alumi-tech ups and downs?
Id like to buy a summit, but the API's here are on sale and I dont have too much to spend. Hopefully the API is a good stand, Im tired of my noisy and uncomfortable metal ladder stand. Anyone else used one of these API's?

I've had an API for years. They are good stands. Other good stands, Summit, Ol Man, Lone Wolf, Treewalker....there are alot of good ones on the market. Bottom line is most of the lower end stands today are better than the higher end stands of 10yrs ago.

RE: API alumi-tech ups and downs?
thanks alot for the input guys, ive heard a bunch of good about the API's, just want to make sure i dont hear anything too bad before buying it
the summits look nice and so do the treewalkers, but the api looks comfortable and quiet enough for me, i kinda just want something more quiet, comfy and versatile than my current ladder stand (gets the job done but not comfy at all and noisy since it stays out in the cold)
thanks alot again for the input!
