i've been thinking of purchasing a used golf cart for hunting. something simple, small lift maybe with a rack or two. i can't afford a bbb, so those are out of the quesiton. Any advice would be helpful...gas, electric, etc. I' don't plan on trailoring the thing back and forth each week from my hunting spot. would gas be a better purchase for this reason? thanks for the help.

Based on my experience withthe BBB ( I have one), gas would certainly be the better choice. I don't think you'd want to charge one with a generator. Though not nearly as quiet as electric, gas golf carts still aren't too loud.

we have a 1982 Yamaha golf cart that is gas powered and it has a 6 inch lift on it. it will go almost anywhere you want it to. we put tires off of a quad so it would have better traction. also with a little work you can make them alot faster and have alot more power than just a regular stock golf cart. we have a top speed of about 50 mph (yes we checked) and can probably drive about 200 miles on 5 gallons of gas. there are alot out there for sale and you should be able to find a good one for $500 to $1000.
