I have a question about unscented baby wipes. does any one know, even though they claim the wipes are scent free, can deer smell them? (i cant smell anything) or must we continue to pay $4-5 for a small pack of "hunters" wipes you can buy at a sporting goods store... just a thought.

If your that concerned, you can always wipe your hands/butt with game urine after.

I use those general baby dienfecting wipes with aloe.
Idon't know if seer can smell that aloe or not and quite frankly
I can care less if the game smells it or not.
Bottem line it is soothing for me.
But I'd rather be hunting healthy/clean, than not at all cause i'm sick/smelling.
But yeah I don't think those speciallty hunting wipes offer anything else to the hunter.
Stick with what you got and hunt happy.

Ditto. "Normal" baby-wipes do fine.
The awy I see it is that by the time Iclimb down, trapse to a spot far from where I will return to hunt, take care of business .... the small additional scent"wet-wipe" wafting down windis no big deal ! What I do after cleaning up, including cleaning my hands, is rolla wad of pine needles ordried hardwood tree leaves between my hands several times ... my I thinking being that I am at least getting some of the more obvious wipe scent taken care of. But who knows ?

Now that's funny right there - I don't care who you are.
I've used the unscented wipes from Wally's too.I even carry some with me in a ziplock sandwich bag. They are great for cleaning up after dressing out that big buck that came to check out that funny smelling pine cone too.
I also spray down every day with dead downwind (or similar).

They don't sell those little rolls of Charmin to Go™ where you live? Look in the camping gear section of your local Chinamart, they probably have them. If not, grab a roll of regular unscented TP when it gets down to the last few feet and put it in a ziplock baggie and put in in your pack. Plain old paper table napkins or even paper towels work fairly well too and don't generally have a scent applied to them. In a pinch a cheap facemask will do, don't ask me how I know that...[:-]
