I have not shot a tikka, but I believe it would be hard pressed to be better than the three rifles he is planning to choose from....

I have a Remington Model 7 with the Laminated stock and love it. I have killed several nice bucks with it and it shoots great. I do not own one but the Tikka T3 lite is getting great reviews and is less than $600. I plan on buying one in 25-06 soon. 25-06 only because I already have the Rem Mod 7 That remington is great because the barrel is still 20" and the length of pull is not too short, but its all about finding what feels comfortable for YOU.
