ORIGINAL: Mojotex

I am 59 years old, 6' 1" and 250#. I climb about every specie of tree that we have here in the deep south. Frompines to hard barked hickories to slick barked sycamores. Believe me, I use only a HD , secure climber.Though others apparently have, I have had zero problems with and have 100% confidence in the original Ol' Manclimbers of which I have 7 "Grand" versions. Also have used the new Summit that belongs to my cousin. I forget which model. It is one of their newer HD aluminum models. It is super.Climbs easily, sturdy. comfortableand stiff ... and quiet.I believe you will not go wrong with any of the new Summit models.Too bad the old style Mississippi made "Ol' Man" stands are apparently gone for good.
Ol Man stands are available again BUT they are made in CHINA and the weight lmits are lower than the Originals. My grand Ol' Man is 400lbs an the new ones are down to 300.

My last one is a Summit Goliath

My Summit Backpacker folds up to about 5 inches..I'm in a WMA so the deer are real nervous..
I camo ducked taped all the metal parts which silenced the metal moving parts very good..I try to take my time when setting up and packing in order not to spook game.

Setting up.. taking my time 5 minutes and I'm settled in the tree.

Packing up..taking my time 10 minutes..I try to be just as quiet leaving my area as I am getting there.
