I had a buck a few days ago walk up close enough to sniff my ASAT covered ass while I was wearing some Deer Dander. 'Nuff said?

Be carefull with scents. I quit using them, because I have had two bad batches and that really sucked. I was using Tinks 69, I have heard there are better scents out than that, but I wont use them any more.

i don't use scents. i control my human odor as much as possible by using scent free soaps, shampoo, deoderant, wash my clothes in scent free laundry soap and use the wind to my advantage. i do however use a grunt tube and a rattle bag. this year i called in several bucks.

I had a buck directly downwind of my Tinks #69, didn't even care, peak of the rut, but I did have a doe come to it.

funny you say that, i have also blown my grunt while deer were practically underneathe my stand and they did not pay any attention to it....they acted like they didn't even hear it. then again i have hit the 'ol grunt tube and had deer come straight in like i was reeling them in with a rod & reel. the 6 point i shot during muzzle loader season came straight to me grunting back at me. i guess it all depends on the deer's moods.
