Anyone ever use a heater in a blind? I was thinking of trying to use a small gas heater in my ground blind. It is very cold here now. Might be able to stay out longer with heat....What do you think?

It was about 10 degrees yesterday evening friend of mine tried it turned it off about an hour before shooting time said it worked pretty good. He used the propane heater on a tank. He had several deer close enough to shoot. I am thinking of trying the small propane tank and heater. What do you think?

i have a large 5x7 metal blind. it gets very cold. we have always used propane heaters.use coleman fuel as the cheaper brands give off a odor. do not turn heater on til daylight. it will light up the stand if too early

I just purchased two coleman blackcat heaters this year to use in a ground blind, they work great, easy to carry and run up to 8 hrs on a tank of gas. gives off 3,000 btu of heat. also set one up to use in my tree stand, just enough heat to keep your feet warm, but that is a different story.

I use them and like them a lot. They hiss a bit but it can be kept to a minimum if you turn them down low. I've had deer right up next to the shooting house with the heater running and I've never had one notice it. It beats the heck out of freezing.
