Has anyone used this in a real situation to know if it actually works?

nope never used it, but I do use Starlight bloodhound...wooks great

I use Bluestar. It works pretty good. You have to be careful of the area you are in when you use it, you might get false readings from a few different plants.

From all I've read on these things, they all work the same. I only choose Bluestar because it is a more mature product than Tinks or Primos.
