I bought those exact boots this spring and wore them all summer for scouting. I love them, very comfortable, short break in time. I think they'll be perfect especially for hunting wild birds when you put some miles on. I spend alot of time in the Whitetail woods but I still love to bird hunt when I get a chance. I now have a couple of styles of Danners and if there is a better boot I haven't worn it.

I have a pair of Danner Sierra boots (200g). Really like them. I like the fact that they have a little bit of insulation for those cold days, but I can also wear them when it's hotter out without any problem. Make sure to wear a good 'performance' sock.

I have a pair of Danner Grand Slam 400 gr and they are real comfortable with a lot of support. I find they are a little noisy but I am working on some ways to stop the squeak.
