i also got the Nikon 440. i like it but wish it would range further. anything over 350 yards in the bush is virtually unrangeable. now it will hit big flat shiny objects out to 380 or so...

The Swarovski's are the best I've used, but are kind of heavy. Leica is the second best, and probably the best for the money. You can get a pair of the LRF's rather reasonably on Ebay. The Leica CRF's are nice too. If I were buying a pair, I would get the Leica CRF 1200. IMO, it's the best compact RF for the money.

Nikon Monarch 800. Great rangefinder that I bought on ebay for less than $300.00 including shipping. I use it for both golf and hunting.
