RE: Which Motorola 2-Way Radio to Buy?
I have a set of 5 watt Motorola Radius P50s that I have used for years and they work great. I just bought a Garmin Rino 120 GPS/radio and I like it, it dosen' t have the range my Motorola' s have but it is handy to look at the screen and see where you and whoever you are talking to are at.

Just bought a pair of Motorola Talkabout T6220, work well. Went to this model as it has the vibrate feature so it doesn' t ring when on stand. It still makes noise but not as bad as ringing.

T7200. I have 2 with the NiMH rechargable batterys and they work great! 5 mile range, weather alerts, takes 4-AA batteries if the rechargable wears out, red backlight, I love mine. Make sure to get the earbud w/ mic for out hunting. Wife and I had the older models w/ 2 mile range for years and finally upgraded. Very good radios.

Our group uses the Talkabout 250' s. They work real well with 11 guys in camp. The only down fall is when the younger guys start getting board out in the woods it starts to sould like a pow wow on them. Can' t get them to shut up

RE: Which Motorola 2-Way Radio to Buy?
I just bought a pair of 5820' s. I had to take the first pair back b/c there was constant static coming out of one of the radios. Now on the second pair I notice that if I use a channel without a subcode (ie. Channel 1, Subcode 0) I get a burst of static every 5 seconds or so. This doesn' t happen if I use a channels with a subcode (ie. Channel 1, Subcode 1)? If I hunt with a bunch of guys and one doesn' t have a radio that has subcodes, then I have to pull out my old radio. I' m thinking of taking these back. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have a pair of 5200 and they work well. I just bought 3 6220 at grice' s gun shop in clearfeild ,Pa this last weekend. they had them for $29.95 and there is a $10.00 rebate on each one so you only pay $19.95 .
