I dont really care about price as I use my gear for a longggggg time so quality is the big concern. Thanks in advance. Im lookin at the MT Cabelas gear but any suggestions are welcome.

I've never tried their stuff, but whenever I look at the Whitewater Outdoors gear in the store it seems high quality and really quiet to me.
I love my 10X Gore-tex shell, but I don't think it's made any longer.

Buy some of the military issue, camo goretex jacket and pants, as they are what waterproof should be. Yes they are a bit heavy, obviously an army camo pattern and are not silent, but very durable. I think Cabelas sells them cheaply for something around $40 a jacket and the same for pants. Army surplus would have them as well. I have a set from the Army I use when expecting a downpour or continuous rain.

My all time favorite is Cabela's SuperSlam,I stayed out in the pouring down rain during the 1994 first day of buck season and never got wet...
