Bushnell Banner Dusk and Dawn Scope
#1
I just bought a new Bushnell Banner 3x9x40( Mossy Oak camo), the one pictured on the sept 06 Gun World magazine. I was just wondering how good of a scope these are. It will be mounted on a Savage .243 or ArmaLite M-15 Carbine. If on the Savage it will be used for deer and coyote, if the AR it will be just coyote. I am currently deployed to Iraq so I will not be able to check it out for another couple of months. In the magazine they talk more about the gun than the scope. They also list the price as suggested is $199, but I only paid $109 with tax and shipping from SWFA. If anyone has any opinions or experience with the Banners I'd love to hear about it. Thanks in advance.

I have one on my Thompson Center Omega. It is really clear and for the money a darn good scope.
I was recently shooting my muzzle loader at the range a week or so ago. I was letting the barrel cool and decided to shoot the .22 for a bit.
I immediatly noticed how much clearer the Banner was, compared to the Tasco on the .22.
All in all, they are a realy good scope.

You guys deserve a big pat on the back for being over there. My hat is off to you. Be careful over there. My prayers are with you.

Mine cost me about 60 bucks. I can't think of a better scope for that kind of money. I only wish it were full multicaoted instead of just multi coated. Of course that would make the scope more expensive.
I had mine mounted on my savage 110 in "06. On a recent hog hunt I was shooting in the woods at a hog about 150 yards away. It was the first long ish shot I have made with it. I was a bit dissapoionted with the resolution in the shdowy woods. I am used to my Docter optic 3-9 on my other rifle. So I am replacing the scope with either a Sightron SII 3-9 or a Zeiss Conquest 3-9 (If I can come up with 400 bucks). My Banner is going on my Marlin 882 in 22 mag for this coming turkey season

Good scope for the money. Have one mounted on a TC Black Diamond muzzleloader. Has held up to the shock of the smoke pole. Keep your M-4 or M-16 clean, Keep your head down, and always be aware of where you are! Don't volunteer to go on convoys that travel the same routes and leave at the same time each day! Sa-dee-kee
