Default Cuddeback

Hey guys i thought i would update you on something i just found out about this cam. I went out and set my cam on Video mode a cuple days ago, i went and checked it today and you get some awesome stuff with the video mode. What it does is takes a picture and then take vidoe for how ever long you have it set for. I didn't know that and i thought that i wouldl lose all of my night photos because it cant take video in the dark. Well even in the dark it still take a picture so you arent losing anything. I just wanted to let you all know what i found out here. I got a ton of awesome video clips, i would suggest you try it you will be amazed. The video will go through batteries faster but who cares they make new ones everyday. Hope this will get some of you to try the video setting cause it is awesome and you wont lose any of your night time pictures.

I'd love to try some video, but my cuddeback is broken for no apparent reason. I'll be calling the company this week to see if they will help me out. I'll keep you posted on their response.

Did the video come with audio? If so, that will be awesome. I too, just set up mine to video last weekend. All of the pictures I got off of it since I put it up were at night. I don't expect it to have any video until the deer start moving during daylight in my woods.

I was looking into getting a cuddeback. I got a stealthcam right now but it takes about 7 seconds to take picture after the animal has already passed through. Is the cuddeback really worth the money or do I need to look into another type of dig. cam? Is the compact flash card a type of memory and do you guyshave that in your cam?
lol sorry for all the questions but Im trying to convince myself into buying this camera..

Yes the Cuddeback is worth it. You make up for the price in developing and not buying film. I received it for XMAS and have had it out for only 3 weeks. I've got some great pictures on it. The camera comes with a small amount of memory in it. The compact flash card just adds to the memory. I bought 2 cards. When I check the camera I pull the existing card (assuming the card shows that some pictures have been taken)then put in a fresh card. Go to the computer and see what I got. Save the pics and clear the card for the next time. I just set it to video last week. I did see a post that Cuddeback is coming out with 3 new models. The cheapest being $299 to $449 for the most expensive. If you buy one, get it from an authorized dealer. Go to Cuddebacks web site to find them. (I got mine at Gander Mountain.) I've heard if you buy it cheaper,(less then the $399 price)like on ebay or an unauthorized dealer, they won't honor fixing it if it breaks. Make sure to p[ost pictures on here when you get them.
