I have a couple of gorilla's hang-on stands, and they are rock solid. Just about like standing on the ground. Got a new one yesterday. The air-ride seats are VERY comfortable. I don't use climbers, but have noticed they look a lot like the ole' man stands.

Hey,
I've hunted from the OL Man treestand for years now.
I like the kind that you lean up on a tree, and strap to the tree.
I've made my shooting rest that goes across the front of the stand out of 1/2 inch galv.water pipe with pipe fome.I thought the lean up stand was a lot better than always going up and down a pine tree to hunt. I like to get in my stand at least 45 to hour before daylight.
And always going up and down a tree in the dark wasn't for me.

I have the greyback climber, nice stand, but heavy expect leaving it at your tree. Not thre greatest for bow hunting as the rail gets in the way. The lock pins for the cable are noisy and somewhat of a pain but other wise alright. Pretty solid when your up there.

The newest Gorilla stands are miles ahead of the old ones. Love the new swing style adjustable seats. As far as Ol' Man, They are top of the line. I have been using them for many many years. They are beyond a doubt the most comfortable seating in the industry. Their newest ladders are rock solid too. You just can't go wrong with an Ol'Man to support your caboose. lol
