RE: need bird dog

Sir, I know you have had the best advice from the best of the hunters and breeders. I, too, would like to offer my opinion. We hunt, compete and raise Llewellin setters. They are the Walking hunter's bird dog. They range 40 to 60 yards infront of the hunter. They are medium sized, affectionate and extremely easy to train. If you are consistant with basic obedience and treat your dog with respect, he will give you his guts in the hunting field. All of our dogs swim and retrieve to hand. We would be honored to show you this breed for your consideration. Mrs. Mare Reardanz, Blackstone, Illinois

My votes for the GSP. Have a 4 year old and she is awesome. Highly motivated, trainable and is a wonderful family companion/watchdog. Only wish she knew the difference between sparrows and grouse.....

RE: need bird dog

And why aren't there any Llewellins breeders in my part of the country (Washington State)? There aren't any breeders (not that I've found) in the west (OR, ID, CA, etc). There seems to be only AKC labs and a few GSPs here. It will cost me an extra $250-$300 for air fare to bring one here :P Makes me mad.
