Default Started All Black AKC GSP F/S

I have an all balck German Shorthair that is one and a half years old. She is the one of three all black GPS that I have seen. A rare breed to say the least and sharp looking when she goes on point in the snow. She has been on birds both penraised and wild birds. She works close within 30 yards but may range more as she grows older and if you allow her to. She is trained on pheasnats and quail and has pointed both wild and pen raised of both. She will fetch but it is not her strong suite. I started her through a force fetch on a table and then my grandmother passed away and I purchased a pointing lab all in the same month. I never got passed about the first two weeks. She will take it out of your hand on the table and was starting to move up and down the table. She will sit but does not favor the position so I usually whoa her if I want her to stand still still while she is on the leash. She will whoa on command however if she is at full speed working in front of you she does not whoa on command unless she smells something. She will point far (25 yards) as long as she has the scent and then as you move up and release her forward she will creep a little. She quarters great and and will respond to "Trixie" here. She will come back to you and then circle and right back in front of you to start quartering. Is not a licker and is very eager to please. I've trained her in water a little in the summer just to cool her off in the pond behind my house. Does not seem bothered by it. She has had a lot of work on the rod and wing but has advanced and loves to point by smell now. I am getting rid of her against my better judgement but I guide and my guiding is primarily waterfowl. I feel I have not done her justice this last season and she needs to be in Oklahoma, Texas, or somewhere with a better population of birds. I took a few pictures tonight after training and will take some more in the next couple of days. One is her at whoa on the leash and the other is just her sitting by me. She weighs about 40 lbs. Current on all shots and is on interceptor and frontline for worms, fleas, and ticks. $1250.00
