bluetick hound
We got a free i believe blue tick hound that was supposed to run coyotes..the guy just wanted to get rid of him cause he was getting outta hound hunting.. we got talking to the guy and found out he ran bear aswell but he wasnt too fond of the dog because if the dog was on a bear trail an a coyote track was hotter he would leave the bear an go off on coyote. Im not quite sure if he tried the shock collor system to break him of coyote or what but we tried running him on coyote an he will go for about 50 yards and wont bark, stop then come right back to ya. i imagaine he would make an amazing house dog. He is very lovable an nice lookin. We had him in the house for a few days an never messed on the floors as long as we let him out a few times a day.. if anyone is intrested his name is Bud an he would make a good dog. Possibly a good huntin dog if you took the time with him...we just have to many pups already started and dont really wanna shy away from them since their goin so good..

It sounds like the dog thought he was to just track, was he hunting with a pack or alone. We have a bluetick he is trained to hunt and also retrieve injured animals. When he is tracking he only sounds when he is within 100 yards of the animal usually with a visual of the animal.

Yeah we was wondering that. Its just too bad cause he is no good to us. And we have tried him on the coyote a few times and he will go for a min or two but come right back. Its like he wants to go but isnt sure if he should or not. Rotten thing is we dont know how old he is so we dont wanna put alot of time into him if he is like 6 or so when we have pups coming up threw. Just trying to find him a home where he does us no good...
