I know you can mail fish (I've got an aquarium semi-business) but basically all you do is put them in a styrofoam cooler then a box and stamp this side up and fragile live animals on the box and overnight it.
I seem to remember my father receiving chicks in the mail once as well.
I'll see what I can find out, can you do the same and we'll meet in the middle with our answers?

fedex and ups won't ship mammals/house pets. argh... got any friends coming this way anytime soon? also, what part of ok are you from? if you were more toward arkansas a road trip with some friends one weekend wouldn't be out of the question.

You can usually fly them to an airport near you alot cheaper than you can ship them via mail, etc. I got my Karelian from Alaska to Dallas for right around $100. I had to drive to Dallas from Arkansas to get the dog, but I still came out cheaper.
