Living in Germany now, hoping for snow and some night Hog hunts. If I take a Deer I'm going to have to buy another freezer.
Likely to take a young one in the spring, we have a nine month season here for Roe Deer. Went out for Pheasant and Hare last month, good eating.
Wild Boar is getting really out of hand here. The regulations and hunting costs aren't helping to solve that problem. The land owners want the Boar gone, but then see dollar signs in their minds and get greedy. State lands are in the same boat, they charge too much then complain about too many Boar. Two of the political parties (half a dozen here) consider themselves animal friendly and to heck with the consequences of their policies.
The Hogs pop in and out of my lease, harvest time is usually the busiest. My lease is a mix of agricultural and woods.

North Hero, Vermont. Hunting seasons are pretty much done except for rabbit. Ice fishing is going strong right now and should last until late March or early April. No wild hogs here in this state.
