Default Hog hunting with Sig556xi

Hey

I'm starting to read up on, prepare for hog hunting.
Part of that is saving up for equipment.
I'm still in the early stages and my brother told me he'd be okay
with letting me borrow his Sig556xi as a hunting rifle (he doesn't hunt himself).

Any opinions or feedback would be greatly appreciated! I'll keep mine to myself right now because I'd like to hear others 'free standing'.

Sig556xi
Calibre 5.56x45mm NATO

Edit: opinions/feedback in regards to how safe, effective, useful this rifle is/could be for hog hunting

i've killed scores of wild hogs with the .223/5.56 mm. Best bullets i've found are the 53 grain and 62 grain Barnes Triple shock. With the .223/5.56mm shot placement is everything.
