Default This rifle has the mojo.

I stopped using my Remington 7600 30/06 for my pig rifle and went with my Ruger MK77 and my Savage 111 in 7MM-08. I haven't had a lot of luck the past two seasons with the pigs. Before I was getting them on a regular basis. So superstitious me said go back to your Remington that's your good luck rifle and has served you well. Took it out yesterday and that was it! I found my mojo. I saw more pigs yesterday than I had in the past two seasons. Nailed a nice sow and my son got a boar, both about 150lbs. 165 gr nosler ballistic tip did it right. Am I superstitious darn right. My son nailed his with a 243 95 gr fusion. The bullet mushroomed perfectly and weighed 88.5 grains.

My son has taken many hogs. The last two years he has been kicking my but. In the fall he took two hogs with one shot under a feeder using a 270. One was standing behind the other. The student has definitely surpassed the master here. I've had the boy out in the woods since he was 8 he is now 26.

LOL... I sold my Rem 7600 and went to a Rem 700 7mm-08 and it is now my "mojo" go-to deer and hog gun. :-)

I can kill one with an ice pick, too. That said, more energy delivered will kill more hogs with less than perfect shot placement.
