The hog the OP is pictured with would weigh less than 300 pounds on Oklahoma scales. Those big floppy ears are the giveaway as to the hogs origin; a pig farm. That place in TN buys some of its hogs.
The owner says he has a bunch of ,mixed pigs. One of the guys shot a Blue colored hog that they thought was pretty full blooded Russian, but mine was just a hodge podge feral pig. The farm is 600 acres that they bought back in the 1960's and hunted hogs as a family but about 15 years ago when Rick (the owner) started charging for hunts the Government made them put up a fence to keep the pigs in and try to keep them from spreading. I guess close quarters has spawned some off breeds and big sizes. Rick says he keeps them fed with corn so that they dont trample down the fence and get out.

So yeah, if you want to get picky it was a fenced hunt, but they are still wild pigs and not "stocked" like some farms. 600 acres is still a big area to hunt.

i'm not picky about a fenced hunting area. 600 acres is a big place. All the hog hunting places buy pigs.
