hog hunt in fl in feb
#1
Will be doing a hog hunt in feb, we are moving to florida and I hear their thick there.
Was wondering a few things.
I was planning a one day hunt, thinking since the hunt is cheap, either 50 a day and a 100 kill fee, or 300 bucks for a trophie, I am thinking about doing a two day hunt, two hogs, twice the fun twice the meat.
Are 3 blade muzzy 100 grains ok, or do I need a different broadhead.
Also so some stuff on a few websites, about taxidermist prep included, what can a taxi do to a hog

The one thing to remember about pigs is that pigs are tough so you need some good gear (trust me where I live we have LOTS of pigs) Hogs come in all shapes and sizes (there actually is no average size for pigs) Pigs have a very thick layer of cartilage behind the shoulder I think its about an inch or more, and a pigs vitals are more forward and lower in the chest cavity than that of a deer. So you are going to need something that will punch through that layer of cartilage, a 125gr arrowhead (in my opinion works best) but a 100gr will definitely work just as good just make sure you hit in the perfect spot, so I dont think you have to worry. And a taxidermist can do to a pig just what they do to any other game, I have friends that have thier pig heads mounted on the wall. It just cuts off from right in front the shoulder just like deer so you will have the head and neck. Have fun with your hunt, I hope I helped a little!!!
