Anyone know of public land here in central florida for beginner hog hunter? I always wanted to hunt em and all. Or is it all WMA areas only?

unless you know someone with private land, the WMA's are the ticket. Or if money is not a problem. I would suggest using a guide service the first time. but they hunt on private land so they will make it look easy. the WMA's are not baited.

WMA's or guide service..........The best place to hunt hogs in central FL is Lake Wales......

all wma and a few good guides though.

i don't like the wma rules though its an all year game but can only be hunted during a season with that seasons weapon. otherwise there a no go.

at least this is what i understand from the pamphlets.

dogs are weird to, you cant use them to hunt pigs but you can use them to track wild game so i guess if you get caught after you already stabed or shot the pig your ok. but not before hand.

All WMA's especially near along the St. Johns River. There's a spot I know of that's part of the Upper St. Johns WMA (no need for quota permits) unfortunately it was flooded out 2 days ago. I'm going to Seminole Ranch this morning, hoping there are still small game quota's available.
