Anywhere in SE Georgia infested with Hogs?

Found some land up in Mcintosh county near Darien and the owner said it had some Hogs. I found quite a bit of deer sign in there the other day but not to sure what to look for when it comes to hogs.

look on the bases of trees for mud rubs, hogs like to roll in the mud then as it dries they rub against trees leaving mud and smoothing some of the bark, thats a sure fire sign of hogs. also look around for rooting, depending on the number of hogs it may be about the size of a deer scrape or could look like a big Dozer went thru a field. others may be able to say more about what to look for, but thats the main things i look for. hopefully one of these days we might can get together and do some public land hunting, i like to do go after deer season as there is a lot less people, and i can still use my muzzleloader as they are legal small game arms.

Got your reply and that sounds good. I did see some rounded prints that now that you said it are hog tracks. I have about 7 scrapes and rubs all over the place. There is a small pond on the property 1 of 2 in the whole area according to a sat map and there are tracks and one huge rub right by it. I will keep you posted! Smokepole hunted all week and heard alot of movement but saw nothing but turkeys which will be nice this spring. Yeah keep in touch and I would definately be up for some public land hunting after deer season.
