Default hogs and ticks??

I just trapped two little sows (about 50lbs) and under their legs in what I would call the arm pit area they are covered in ticks. At least 25 ticks or so under each leg. Is there any disease that can get contracted from eating these pigs? Are they still good to eat?

In the warmer states there's fleas and ticks on all animals you'll hunt. In California a can of OFF! or a comparable repellant is a must before you pack or skin. Once the skin's off, so are the fleas and ticks and your 50lb sows will eat as good as any pork you've ever had!

If you cook the meat you're fine.
