Exotic Hunting Has Its Benefits

I've had the opportunity to hunt Russian Boar, Corsican Ram and Texas Dall Sheep with a bow. I'm pleased to say that I'm a perfect 3 for 3. I took the Russian Boar in 2004, the Corsican Ram in 2005 and the Texas Dall Ram in 2006. All of these were taken in East Tennessee. I have to say that Exotic Hunting is definitely a GREAT WAY to keep your archery skills sharpened. I've been fortunate to take several animals with a bow, but I will have to say that I'm more pleased with the Exotics than anything else.

Here is a Gold Series Catalina Ram I took in So. Texas in 2008 with a bow at 17yds, scored just an 1-3/8"ths short of the world record at that time!!!! It has a 38" tip to tip spread. I am 5'11" with a 46" chest to give you an idea of how wide the horns are.
Above are a few of the bucks I have taken here in Southern Il. The one above my right scaled at 243 pounds (Certified scale) field dressed and scored 151". It has a 21" neck just below the ears and 32" at the top of the brisket with 46" brisket.
