Default Afganistan/Iraqi Veterans

I had the privilege, in taking a couple of our hero's hunting the other night. This would be their first hunt since returning home from the big SANDBOX, and I wanted it to be one they would remember.

I don't think that will be a problem. These guys both knew the equipment very well, and dadgum they could shoot. Well I could rattle on, but I'm just gonna let the pics do the talking.

Sorry for the explict photo's, but these guys put it to the PORK.

Thanks,
Jed

That's awesome! Being a veteran of OIF I thinks it's great when people step up and show appreciation to our service members this way. Kudo's go to you!

I will second the above! Great thing you are doing, I myself have been to the great sandbox and appreciate what folks like you and others are doing. Having returned wounded myself it is refreshishing to return to good old habits. Thank you for all you guys are doing for those who do!

Is that a silencer on the rifle in the first picture? Its a nice rig, how well did the silencer work? I have been wanting some thing to reduce the shot noise for a while, I just didn't know thay made a silencer for the ar-15's.

Thanks,
Switchback XT

Yes Switch that is a supressor. They make them to fit most any rifled barrel firearm. Just remember they are not legal in most states to hunt game animals. Hogs in Texas are not considered game animals.

That is good stuff.
In DEC I got home from my 3rd Iraq tour (6th Combat tour).
It was a 15 month tour this time (who ever thought them up outta be shot.)

Anyways, Great stuff; I am sure you made some troops happy.

This last tour, I tracked and managed all the logistical convoys...if it moved, I tracked it sitting behind a pile of computers and radios in a 24 hour ops cell.
But, my first two tours I was assigned with Combat Engineers in not nearly as "comfy" situations.
FOB Gabe, Warhorse, LSA Anaconda, Taji, VBC, and Butler Range
